Three New Companies Join TMC Innovation (TMCi)

Companies will receive customized mentorship to validate and advance their technologies in the largest medical center in the world

HOUSTON, TX (July 19, 2022) – Texas Medical Center Innovation (TMCi) today announced new life science startups will join the TMC Innovation Accelerator for HealthTech. The accelerator provides a unique opportunity for startups harnessing powerful technologies to continue to evolve their products and services while creating lasting relationships with Texas Medical Center (TMC) member institutions, advisors, and investors.

The companies include:

 

CardMedic (Oxford, UK) – CardMedic believes in making healthcare information accessible for all. So, they built a digital “One Stop Communication Shop” in the form of an extensive library of pre-written scripts to empower staff and patients to communicate across any barrier, including language, deafness, cognitive impairment, or disability.

CardMedic is the next startup to join TMC Innovation from the TMC | United Kingdom BioBridge. The BioBridge partners with countries to help source the best talent and startups across the globe that are ready to enter the US market and bring them to TMC for programs and entry into the market.

CareAdvisors (Chicago, Illinois) – CareAdvisors helps hospitals and clinical social workers connect patients to the best resources and quickly enroll them in benefits to address social care needs. The Social Care Automation tool enables hospitals to generate revenue from preventive health programs and helps health plans reduce overutilization by putting the focus on preventive care.

 

Roboligent (Austin, Texas) – Roboligent designs and manufactures a robot that provides automated physical therapy exercises for patients with upper and lowers limb musculoskeletal issues. Robotic-assisted rehab help promotes recovery while increasing rehab centers’ operational efficiency.
