Doors Open to UTMB’s League City Campus Hospital

Doctors and nurses are walking the halls, patients are in their rooms and the first babies are being born in the new League City Campus Hospital.

The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston opened the doors to the new state-of-the-art, 150,000 square-foot hospital on Saturday. The hospital will serve the ever growing population in and around the League City and Clear Lake area.

“UTMB continues to grow to meet the needs of our community. We are honored and excited to expand our services with the new hospital.” said Deborah McGrew, vice president and COO of UTMB Health.

The new three-story hospital, located at 2240 Gulf Freeway South in League City, expands on the outpatient care and surgical services provided at the existing specialty care clinics, which opened in 2010.
