Neurological and spinal disorders affect more than 100 million Americans. The burden of these disorders ─ led by stroke, dementia, and migraine ─ is large and expected to increase as the population ages. Accurate diagnosis and appropriate intervention offer the possibility of improved patient outcomes. This two-day course reviews the epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic workup, and treatment of the most common neurological and spinal disorders. Multidisciplinary faculty present current research findings, technological advances, and strategies for translating neuroscience knowledge into practice.
