Conference_ Workplace Violence in the Health Care Setting

Violence in health care settings is a growing epidemic. Studies
show that 35% to 80% of health care workers have been
physically assaulted at least once during their career. Workplace
Violence in the Health Care Setting is a one-day,
multidisciplinary course designed to educate health care
providers on strategies for identification, prevention,
de-escalation and response to acts of aggression in the
workplace. Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants,
nurses and other health care providers will be presented with
best practices for maintaining staff and patient safety.
