The George Foundation awards $1,000,000 grant to the San José Clinic for the expansion of Dental Services and Disease State Management in Ft. Bend County

Houston, TX – July 8th, 2022 – The San José Clinic has been awarded a grant in the amount of $1,000,000 with the opportunity to receive an additional $500,000 as a match by the George Foundation. This means potentially $1,500,000 in funding – the largest grant from a single funder in the Clinic’s 100 year history! The grant will support general operating and the expansion of critical services to our Fort Bend County clinic, including charity dental services and Disease State Management (DSM).
At San José Clinic, our mission is to provide healing through quality healthcare and education with respect and compassion for those with limited access to care. We are seeing firsthand the urgent need to provide quality healthcare services for individuals and families in Greater Houston and Fort Bend County areas who struggle the most with accessing care.
The George Foundation Trustees and Staff support Fort Bend County residents by coordinating the Foundation’s goals with the vision of the founders, Albert and Mamie George. Grantmaking by the Foundation advances its mission to collaborate with the community and use Foundation resources to have a positive impact on Fort Bend County and its residents.
