Potbelly Sandwich Shop to Open New Location at Helix Park in the Texas Medical Center
HOUSTON—Potbelly Corporation (NASDAQ: PBPB), the iconic neighborhood sandwich shop, today announced the opening of its new location at Helix Park in the Texas Medical Center, the world’s largest life sciences complex. Opening on Tuesday, June 3rd, and located within TMC’s new translational research campus, the shop will offer staff, patients, and guests a warm, welcoming place to gather and enjoy good vibes and great food.
At the 1,639-square-foot restaurant, customers will find Potbelly’s signature toasty warm sandwiches served in a retro, relaxed atmosphere. Originally from Chicago, the shop will also offer fresh salads, soups, sides, and sweets—including hand-dipped milkshakes and cookies.
To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 customers on opening day will receive a free sandwich coupon to use on their next visit and 25% of all sales from the grand opening day will be donated to the Texas Children’s Hospital, which provides world-class pediatric care, education and research to over 400,000 patients annually.
The donation comes with immense personal significance for General Manager Laura Wilkerson whose daughter received cancer treatment at Texas Children’s Hospital and is now in remission. “Texas Children’s holds a very special place in my heart, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of a brand that allows us to give back to an organization that played such a meaningful role in my daughter’s journey,” said Wilkerson. “For the local workforce, hospital guests, and visitors to the surrounding clinics and research facilities, Potbelly brings a delicious, craveable mealtime option.
