Third Annual Heart of a Woman
This exciting conference is designed to inform women and the general community about the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and how women can proactively improve their own heart health.
Heart disease is the main cause of death for women, but too often the symptoms go unrecognized by patients and healthcare professionals alike. To close the gap between incidence and awareness of heart disease in women, Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center and the Houston chapter of the National Federation of Business and Professional Women’s Clubs are partnering to host “Heart of a Woman.” Attendees will enjoy informative lectures on the basics of heart disease in women, a heart-healthy cooking demonstration featuring Masterchef Luca Manfé, and small-group breakout sessions for a customized, interactive experience.
Although this event is open to the public, continuing education credit is available for healthcare professionals.
