|Completed Event:||February 22, 2020|
MD Anderson’s institution-wide Enhanced Recovery Program (ERP) is a collaborative patient-centric, recovery-focused, care transformation initiative led by our multidisciplinary team members actively engaging caregivers and patients in their treatment planning and care delivery. The program’s vision is to minimize treatment-related complications by rapid-rescue interventions, reduce patients’ symptom burden, and enhance patient experience and functional recovery, thereby facilitating timely return to adjuvant oncologic therapies when indicated and improving cancer outcomes.
The symposium’s audience is clinical and administrative healthcare professionals currently or prospectively applying enhanced recovery care practices to patient populations.
MD Anderson President, Dr. Peter Pisters, and UT System Executive Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs, Dr. John Zerwas, will speak on the opening day of the conference.
