The Alzheimer’s Association-Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter is proud to announce the 2019 Conference for Professionals, “New Horizons in Quality Dementia Care.”

Since its inception, the Alzheimer’s Association has been a leader in outlining principles and practices of quality care for individuals living with dementia.  In 2018, The Gerontologist published the Alzheimer’s Association’s new Dementia Care Practice Recommendations, which outline recommendations for quality care practices based on a comprehensive review of current evidence, best practice and expert opinion.  The 2019 Conference for Professionals will explore these recommendations and provide sessions that will help attendees deliver person-centered care to individuals living with dementia.

We invite health care practitioners, direct care providers, activity directors, community leaders, and students to attend and contribute to this annual event.  This conference is a forum for exchanging ideas from a variety of perspectives.

5.0 CEUs, including ethics credits, will be available for nurses and social workers.
