Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine name Dr. Catherine M. Gordon new Pediatrician-in-Chief and Chair of Pediatrics
Gordon will be one of only three female In-Chiefs at U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospitals
HOUSTON – (April 6, 2021) – Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine are proud to announce Dr. Catherine M. Gordon as the new Pediatrician-in-Chief at Texas Children’s and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor. Gordon will join both institutions on Oct. 1.

Gordon will be one of only three female In-Chiefs at U.S. News & World Report Honor Roll hospitals. Texas Children’s is consistently recognized as a leader in pediatric care, ranking fourth in U.S. News & World Report’s 2020-21 Best Children’s Hospitals survey.

As Pediatrician-in-Chief and Chair of Pediatrics, Gordon will lead one of the nation’s most clinically and academically active teams in the nation.

Gordon currently serves as Chief of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She earned her medical degree from the University of North Carolina and completed her pediatric residency and fellowships at Boston Children’s. She is board-certified in Adolescent Medicine and Pediatric Endocrinology.
