Houston Hospice Announces New Board Chair

HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Hospice Board of Directors announced the election of Joyce Testa Salhoot, MSW, MHA as the new Board Chair of the organization. Salhoot has served as a community volunteer for decades and on the Houston Hospice Board of Directors since 2016. Salhoot succeeds, Paul Mansfield, MD, who served in that role for the past three years.

Additional officers elected include Jon A. Unroe, CPA, vice chairman; Stephanie Martin, secretary; and Conrad Johnson, treasurer.

“We would like to thank Dr. Mansfield for his steadfast leadership as Houston Hospice Board Chair,” said Houston Hospice President & CEO Rana S. McClelland, MBA. “His personal commitment to our organization helped advance our mission to provide uncompromising, compassionate, end-of-life care to patients and families across Greater Houston and we are grateful for his service.”

“Our board reflects the diverse communities we serve, and with their expertise and dedication to hospice care, we will continue to help patients of all ages, ethnicities, nationalities, religions, races, genders, and socio-economic backgrounds,” continued McClelland.
