A MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR

TMC Pulse, the Texas Medical Center’s award-winning monthly magazine, did not publish in April, May or June, due to the coronavirus pandemic. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome back our readers.

TMC Pulse is delivered to Texas Medical Center member institutions in the Greater Houston area. Our content is also available online at tmcnews.org, where we publish stories every weekday, including an ongoing news feed about the current crisis: “Coronavirus: A Texas Medical Center continuing update.”

View the print version of this month’s magazine here.

The July 2020 issue of Pulse is devoted entirely to COVID-19. Instead of focusing on one person in our monthly Spotlight feature, we have gathered voices from several individuals who serve on the front lines of the pandemic.

We offer stories about leadership during the COVID-19 crisis, convalescent plasma therapy, changes to the organ donation process and the treatment of pregnant women who have contracted COVID-19. We also offer a photo essay that captures this strange and challenging period in history.

Whether you find us in print or online, we hope you are informed, enlightened and moved by our coverage.

Editor, TMC Pulse
