Young Carolers Serenade Residents at St. Dominic Village

Residents of St. Dominic Village were greeted by sounds of the season this month during a visit by carolers from Garfield Elementary School, part of the Pasadena Independent School District.

Members of the school’s choir in third and fourth grade sang remixes of holiday favorites including Jingle Bells and Jing Bell Rock. Their audience beamed during the performance and even sang along with some of the classics.

St. Dominic Village, a nonprofit retirement community located in the Texas Medical Center, was founded in 1975 as a faith-based organization. Today, services range from short-term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, assisted living options and independent living apartments. St. Dominic Village is also home to Angel House, which provides housing for individuals and their families in need of an affordable option while receiving treatment in the TMC. Each year, the organization serves approximately 600 senior residents and 3,000 Angel House visitors.
