Known for its sports medicine and musculoskeletal experts who are among the field’s leaders in using and developing leading-edge techniques, UT Physicians has expanded its patient-centric care to North Houston with three new orthopedic clinics in Humble and Kingwood.

Orthopedic care teams at the new clinics – two in Humble and one in Kingwood – are led by surgeons and generalists from the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth). UT Physicians is the clinical practice of McGovern Medical School.

“These additional physicians and clinics allow the department to expand our exceptional musculoskeletal care to North Houston, so patients there can be treated close to home,” said Kevin J. Coupe, M.D., assistant professor at McGovern Medical School and regional director of orthopedics for UT Physicians clinics. “From sports medicine coverage of high school athletics to total joint reconstruction, non-operative care, fracture management, and subspecialty coverage, all the patients can now be served by an exceptional group of orthopedic surgeons.”

The expanded clinic team includes Matthew Jordan, M.D.; Ken Korthhauer, M.D.; Joseph (Jay) O. Muscat IV, M.D.; Razvan Scobercea, M.D.; and Scott Stanislaw, M.D. All have joined McGovern Medical School at UTHealth as assistant professors of orthopedic surgery and are affiliated with Memorial Hermann Northeast Hospital.

The new UT Physicians clinics are located at 601 Rockmead Drive, Kingwood, 77339; 18411 W. Lake Houston Parkway, Suite 550, Humble, 77346; and 9522 N. Sam Houston Parkway, Suite 2350, Humble, 77396. To schedule an appointment, call 713-486-7400.

The orthopedics team in North Houston provides sports team coverage for Atascocita High School, Humble High School, Huffman High School, Kingwood High School, Kingwood Park High School, New Caney High School, Porter High School, Splendora High School and Summer Creek High School.
