National Health Care Reform: The Anniversary Edition
The Baker Institute and the Center for Health and Biosciences are hosting the fifth biennial conference on health care reform. Dubbed “The Anniversary Edition,” this year’s event coincides with the fifth anniversary of the Affordable Care Act, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
Five of the nation’s leading health economists will discuss the impact of the sweeping health care reform legislation, plus the challenges facing the federal government’s two largest health care programs. Presentations also will explore the current state of private and public health insurance coverage, while panelists will examine the prescription drug industry and the quality and cost of hospital and physician care. Lunch will be included.
Support for this program has been generously provided by the Sid Richardson Foundation and the Health Policy Forum members.
