HOUSTON (July 16, 2014) – DePelchin Children’s Center is pleased to announce that Ben Rose with Positive Coaching Alliance will be speaking to students attending DePelchin’s summer program Camp REACH on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Positive Coaching Alliance focuses on providing character education workshops to youth in the community to instill strong values that transcend beyond sports and into their everyday lives.

“Camp REACH is a free camp at DePelchin this summer that provides fun activities and life lessons,” said Jenifer Jarriel, president and CEO at DePelchin. “We are grateful to Ben Rose with Positive Coaching Alliance for donating his time to be a part of teaching lessons in character development that will extend beyond camp and into these kids everyday lives.”

Camp REACH provides a safe and positive place for youth to learn skills that will improve school performance, increase positive behaviors, instill healthy choices and develop important character traits such as coping, decision-making skills, leadership and effective communication.

“Positive Coaching Alliance seeks to offer opportunities like this to youth in the community to instill strong character development in not only the world of sports but in the development of an individual as well,” said Ben Rose, director of field operations at Positive Coaching Alliance. “We are excited to donate our time in providing this workshop to DePelchin Children’s Center, as we work to extend our message further into the community, transforming youth today.”
