Abbey Roberson, AICP, joined the Texas Medical Center in February 2016 and serves as Vice President, Campus Planning, leading long-term planning and capital infrastructure investment. She directs TMC’s public infrastructure improvements, oversees transportation and multi-modal campus enhancements, and engages leadership across TMC’s 60-plus member institutions, the City of Houston, CenterPoint Energy, TECO, and Houston METRO.

Prior to joining TMC, Roberson spent 12 years at Hellmuth Obata + Kassabaum (HOK) in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., and Houston, rising to Vice President, Regional Leader of Planning. With a specialty in urban design/master planning, public engagement, and form-based codes, she led multi-disciplinary teams on projects for public and private clients worldwide.

Roberson is active in the community, currently serving on the Houston Southeast Management District Board, the South Main Alliance Executive Committee, and the Texas A&M College of Architecture Dean’s Advisory Board. Previously, she served as ULI Houston Chair and held multiple board positions with the Junior League of Houston. Roberson earned a Master of City and Regional Planning from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University.
