Samantha Nava, PhD

Program Strategist, TMC Accelerator for health tech


As an Innovation Strategist, Samantha focuses on supporting the resident companies participating in the TMC Innovation Accelerator program. She is responsible for encouraging innovative development of the member institutions in the Texas Medical Center by providing participating cohort companies with resources, strategic connections, and guidance through the TMC.

Samantha has vast experience in supporting emerging technologies through her experience as the business development lead at Proxima Clinical Research where she worked with a variety of emerging life science companies navigate their basic clinical and regulatory needs. Prior to that, Samantha worked as the Managing Director of ENRICH, a consulting program through Enventure which provides market assessments to companies residing in the Houston Ecosystem.

Samantha obtained her PhD in Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where she explored vaccine targets for protozoan diseases in developing countries. Through that experience she also worked at the World Health Organization, working with a team to recommend key diseases to major pharmaceutical companies for further development and investment.
