Joshua Reischer, M.D. is a practicing Internal Medicine physician and an entrepreneur with a passion for optimizing physician workflow, increasing patient satisfaction and keeping people healthy through preventative care. He believes that healthcare organizations should accelerate the use and leverage of digital health technologies to increase access to and the quality of care given to patients.
His first dip into entrepreneurship started ten years ago when he worked at Life-Bond, a startup in Caesarea Israel where he worked in R&D on enzyme activated hemostatic bio-gels. While in post-graduate training, he founded his first company, Better On Call, an at home on demand house call service. With Better On Call, he won a digital health sponsorship at HackArizona, was a semi-finalist at the BioAccel Solutions Challenge, and won first place at the Thryve Tucson Pitch Competition. His latest venture, Health Note, optimizes outpatient workflows by “pre-checking” patients into clinics and auto-creating documentation utilizing augmented intelligence.
He is a mentor for Start-Up Tucson, a Finance Committee Member for the American Academy of Home Care Medicine, and a National Science Foundation SBIR grant reviewer.
Reischer holds a B.A. in Political Science and Business from Queens College where he graduated Cum Laude. He completed his pre-medical sciences at Columbia University and his M.D. at Ross University. He is a graduate of The University of Arizona Internal Medicine residency program.
