Let’s Talk About Alzheimer’s Research: A Community Event

Friday, September 30, 2022 | 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Baylor College of Medicine, Houston Methodist Hospital, and the Alzheimer’s Association have partnered to provide the community information about ongoing research on Alzheimer’s Disease and related causes of dementia (loss of memory and thinking). During this free, 2-hour public program, our experts will address the following topics and more:

-What is Alzheimer’s disease and dementia?
-How early can we detect Alzheimer’s disease using brain imaging and blood tests?
-Can we predict Alzheimer’s disease using genetic tests?
-What are the most important unanswered questions about Alzheimer’s disease?
-How can you help by joining a research study?

The program will be followed by light refreshments and an opportunity to learn more about ongoing research projects.

This event will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 9am-11am at the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute, 1250 Moursund St., Houston, TX 77030.

Free parking is available at the McGovern Commons, 6550 Bertner Avenue, Houston, TX (we will validate your parking tickets). The program will start promptly at 9am, so please try to arrive early!
