Dr. Tasha Faruqui, award-winning pediatrician, bestselling author, public speaker, and medical advocate, will be the special guest at the Houston Hospice 25th Butterfly Luncheon. Please join us on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dr. Faruqui is a shining star of a pediatrician whose professional expertise is matched by deeply personal experience. Her middle daughter is receiving hospice care, and Dr. Faruqui brings a powerful perspective bridging medicine, motherhood, and the profound importance of compassionate end-of-life care.

A USA Today bestseller, “Keep Your Head Up: A Mother’s Story of Chasing Joy in the Face of Grief” is a testament to the depth of familial love and our ability to endure in the face of a child’s terminal illness.

At the close of the luncheon, guests will have the opportunity to chat with Dr. Faruqui and snap a selfie during a book signing. Sharing the spotlight with Dr. Faruqui will be our Houston Hospice volunteers as we celebrate them during National Volunteer Month.

Proceeds from the luncheon support Houston Hospice and our pediatric Butterfly Program, which cares for our youngest and most vulnerable patients.

Tami Jorden is this year’s luncheon chair.
