Diploma in Tropical Medicine Information Session
As the COVID-19 pandemic clearly illustrates, the borders that once held diseases in check have disappeared. Tropical diseases, once confined to certain geographic locales, are no longer bound by borders. Professionals are needed in communities around the globe to diagnose and treat these diseases, which disproportionally impact the bottom billion—the world’s poorest people.
The Baylor College of Medicine National School of Tropical Medicine Diploma Course in Tropical Medicine will give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to care for patients at risk for these diseases.
The Diploma in Tropical Medicine program courses are designed for physicians, physician assistants or those in training and are therefore limited to:
Third- and fourth-year medical students.
Physician assistants and students in the physician assistant programs.
Healthcare professionals such as registered nurses and nurse practitioners with clinical experience.
Those holding an M.D. or D.O. degree, including physicians, residents, fellows, and postdoc fellows.
Note: Non-clinical students could take Module 3 (Tropical Medicine in Practice) and Module 4 (Epidemiology, Public Health).
The Baylor College of Medicine National School of Tropical Medicine hosts a live online information session at 5 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Aug. 20.
