Lecture Title:
Cell Signaling By Receptor Tyrosine Kinases; From Basic Principles To Cancer And Other Therapies

Synopsis:
Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTK) play important roles in the control of a variety of normal cellular process and in tissue homeostasis. RTKs are also frequently mutated, overexpressed or aberrantly activated in a variety of human cancers providing druggable targets for targeted cancer therapies. Elucidation of the mechanism of RTK activation and their cellular signaling pathways provide valuable insights into the development of new cancer therapeutics.
