The Faillace Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, our chair, Dr. Jair C. Soares, and course director, Dr. Marsal Sanches, invite you to join us for the 2024 UTHealth Houston Mood Disorders Conference: Bipolar Disorder Across the Lifespan.

The conference will explore the public health significance of Bipolar Disorder, starting at an early age into geriatrics, and the extent to which this may justify the development of early intervention strategies for this disorder. The conference will also discuss disease, diagnosis, and different treatments. Additionally, there have been advances in recognizing and treating these co-occurring disorders in recent years. Health care practitioners need to be able to recognize co-occurring illnesses in bipolar disorder.
