The new Sugar Land location offers treatment of all orthopedic injuries with an emphasis on return to function and pain-free activities. Care is offered for preoperative and postoperative patients as well as nonoperative chronic conditions. Therapies include physical, manual and orthopedic, as well as sports-specific rehabilitation. An area of the clinic is dedicated to TIRR Rehabilitation Centers’ hand and upper extremity therapy program. There are 12 Baylor College of Medicine orthopedic physicians involved in the association with TIRR’s Sugar Land facility. The Baylor physicians see patients with back, knee, ankle, shoulder, hip and hand problems. "The TRC Sugar Land staff is committed to the highest standards of care and are excited about the opportunity to work with an active and sports-oriented clientele from the Sugar Land area," said Jeff W. Littmann, physical therapist and senior operations officer for TIRR Rehabilitation Centers. Patients at TRC-Sugar Land receive individualized treatment based on their stated rehabilitation goals and preinjury activity levels, said Littmann. Physical therapist Mike Cabiro, is the clinic supervisor. Cabiro had been associated with Methodist Hospital for six years, and did inpatient and outpatient therapy in orthopedics as well as stroke and wound care. The Sugar Land clinical staff includes physical therapist Greg Dodson, physical therapy assistants Christie Koudela and Jill Finke. Lisa Henc is the facility’s occupational therapist providing care for the Hand Therapy Program.
