PROJECT PARKING UPDATE
First Easy Pay Lot Goes `Live'

The first Project Parking lot has become active for both contract parkers and visitors.

The AU Lot is across from the new Houston Community College Dr. John B. Colemen Health Science Center is on Galen. The HCC building is next door to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Contract parkers are using the new proximity cards at the AU Lot. Visitors will utilize the Easy Pay machines in the enclosed Easy Pay Station (see photos).

"We are very excited about this new technology," says Joyce Camp, vice president, Texas Medical Center. "We will be monitoring the AU Lot for a month just to make sure everything is going smoothly and then begin the next phase." The next parking facilities to become Easy Pay (for visitors) and which will utilize the proximity cards for contract parkers, will be the LA Lot on the Leland Anderson Campus, where the Harris County Psychiatric Center and the DeBakey High School for Health Professions are located, and Garages 2 and 10.
