METRO to Extend Two Routes, Run Directly to TMC

Beginning Aug. 29, METRO will offer extended service to the Texas Medical Center campus from the Kuykendahl Park & Ride and the West Bellfort Park & Ride lot.

In response to public requests for more direct service to the Texas Medical Center campus, METRO will extend two of its routes, the 291 North Shepherd (which will now begin at the Kuykendahl Park & Ride lot) and the 292 Westwood (which will begin at the West Bellfort Park & Ride).

The 291 will operate from 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 3-5 p.m.; the 292 will operate from 5-8:30 a.m. and from 3-7 p.m. Buses will run every 15 minutes during peak periods. Parking is free for bus patrons at these two lots. The two routes will provide a ride directly to the TMC campus without the need to transfer downtown.
