Street Name Changes are Taking Place in the Texas Medical Center

Mark your calendars. Two streets in the Texas Medical Center are scheduled to take on new names and faces July 9.

The street signs that mark M. D. Anderson Boulevard and John Freeman Avenue will be changing places. Currently, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston Freeman Building is located on

M. D. Anderson Boulevard, and The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center is located on John Freeman Avenue. To visitors who come to the Texas Medical Center campus, it can often be confusing.

In addition, John Freeman Avenue will be upgraded to John Freeman Boulevard.

When the change occurs, all addresses along M. D. Anderson Boulevard will keep the same street numbers, but will switch street names to John Freeman Boulevard, while addresses along John Freeman Boulevard will keep their same street numbers, but will switch street names to M. D. Anderson Boulevard.

The following will be affected:

• Texas Medical Center Executive Offices, 1133 M. D. Anderson Blvd.

• J Lot, 6610 John Freeman Blvd.
  
  
• Garage 7, 1120 M. D. Anderson Blvd.
  
  
• Houston Academy of Medicine-Texas Medical Center Library, 1133 M. D. Anderson Blvd.
  
  
• Texas Woman's University, 1130 M. D. Anderson Blvd.
  
  
• The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston, 6516 John Freeman Ave.
