- Free Anxiety Screening, sponsored by Baylor College of Medicine, May 3, noon-3 p.m. in the department of psychiatry's new clinic located in the Houston Medical Center Professional Building, 6655 Travis, Suite 500. - The University of Houston College of Pharmacy Anti-infective Research Laboratories is sponsoring the Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy Symposium 2000. This program is for practicing pharmacists who want to increase their knowledge on the latest developments in infectious disease pharmacotherapy. In this program, participants will learn an approach for treating community-acquired pneumonia, new and emerging anti-infective agents and the therapies of viral infections in the community setting. The program also will outline an approach to the treatment of catheter-related infections, the changing nature of infections in immunocompromised patients and new approaches to the therapy of HIV-infected patients. The registration fee is $50 for pharmacists and $15 for students. Registration is available through mail only and must be received by May 3, 2000. Registration fee includes program materials and meals. This program is ACPE approved for six contact hours or six CEUs. The symposium will be held 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Houston Marriott Medical Center. For more information, call 713-795-8387.
