New Blood Center Sites Open in Clear Lake, Sugar Land

Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center has opened two new neighborhood donor centers in Clear Lake and Sugar Land. Both centers will operate five days a week, including Sunday, and have day and evening operating hours to for the convenience of donors. Each features 12 donor beds, individual televisions for apheresis donors, children’s play areas with Sony PlayStation 2 consoles, freshly baked cookies, and plenty of available, free parking.

The Clear Lake Donor Center will replace Columbia Clear Lake Regional Medical Center as the area’s primary donation location. The center is located at 1153 Clear Lake City Blvd., near the intersection of Clear Lake City Blvd. and Highway 3. The Sugar Land Donor Center is located at 4949 Sweetwater Blvd. in the Kroger shopping center, at the intersection of South Town Center Blvd. and Sweetwater Blvd., near First Colony Mall.
