Postpartum Depression Topic of May 13
Women’s Health Network Seminar

Postpartum depression is the topic of the latest offering by the Texas Medical Center’s Women’s Health Network, a series of seminars designed to raise awareness and increase knowledge about women’s health among health professionals; to share resources that will assist institutions in meeting collective research and educational goals; to link local, regional and national organizations with interests in women’s health; to increase and enhance financial and human resources committed to women’s health; and to promote leadership and career opportunities in women’s health.

Seminars are presented the second Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the street-level conference room of the Houston Academy of Medicine’s Texas Medical Center Library, 1133 John Freeman Blvd. The free seminars are open to all health professionals interested in women’s health.

Lucy Puryear, clinical assistant professor in Baylor College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, is the May 13 speaker.
