Riverside Health Center Temporarily Closes The Houston Department of Health and Human Services recently closed Riverside Health Center to remove mold from sections of the building, repair the foundation, and replace a leaking roof. Riverside patients will receive preventive health services at other health centers and department offices while crews complete the work, expected to take several months. Patients may call the department at (713) 794-9365 to reschedule prior or schedule new appointments. Family planning, maternity, immunizations, tuberculosis and Hansen’s disease services will be offered at Sunnyside Health Center, 9314 Cullen Blvd. Dental services will now be offered at Northside Health Center, 8523 Arkansas, and the well-child clinic has moved to the Lyons Avenue Health Center, 5602 Lyons Ave. Services for sexually transmitted diseases will be offered at the Medical Center STD Clinic, 1115 S. Braeswood. The Women, Infant and Child program will offer services from its offices at 8000 N. Stadium Dr. until clients are reassigned to other community sites.
