Area Aggies Commemorate Muster with Blood Drive The Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will team with several Texas A&M University groups to host a memorial blood drive April 14 through 21 in memory of fallen Aggies. Donors arriving at any of the Blood Center’s 20 donor center locations throughout Houston and the surrounding area will receive either a commemorative “Spirit of America” or Aggie T-shirt. Since 1903, Aggies around the world gather every April 21 in an event called “Aggie Muster,” which honors fellow Aggies who have died during the year. Muster is a long-held tradition that brings Aggies together to remember, celebrate, and unite. Aggie donors may designate donation credits to their individual organizations and clubs by notifying Blood Center personnel of their club affiliations. Doing so will ensure that club members in need of blood will have donation credits available for use as part of the Blood Center’s Blood Assurance Plan. The group code for the Houston A&M Club is 1234. For other specific group codes, call (713) 791-6670. For more information about the Muster Memorial Blood Drive, call (713) 790-1200 or 1-888-GV-BLOOD (1-888-482-5663). Visit the Blood Center’ Web site, http://www.giveblood.org, for a complete listing of donor center locations. Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center provides blood and blood components to more than 220 hospitals and health care facilities in a 24-county Texas Gulf Coast region. To maintain an adequate supply, the Blood Center must collect at least 800 donations daily. Robin Davidson
