Student Scholarship Offered in Biomedical Communication

The Southwest Chapter of the American Medical Writer’s Association is offering a student scholarship in biomedical communication for 2002. Applicants must be currently enrolled college students in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, or New Mexico. Entries will be judged on the basis of a 500- to 750-word essay on any aspect of scientific research or biomedical communication. The winner will receive a $500 cash award, a certificate of recognition, and a complimentary one-year membership in AMWA.
