- Teams of research scientists, graduate students and health professionals with interest in basic neuroscience and the prevention, treatment and effects of brain injuries are needed to create and staff booths for the Kids Judge! Neuroscience Fair. The event, sponsored by the Museum of Health & Medical Science and funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, is March 9 at the Museum. The scientists and health care professionals will present their exhibits during the day. - The Children's Art Project's fourth Valentine Collection comes during its 25th anniversary year. Since 1973, when a volunteer observed young cancer patients' art and remarked, "Those pictures are as pretty as a Christmas card," the Children's Art Project has sold note cards and gift items featuring young cancer patients' artwork. Today, the Children's Art Project has allocated more than $10.3 million to patient programs at M. D. Anderson. A package of 10 valentine cards costs $7 and is available at Houston-area grocery stores and service stations as well as at Bering's. Valentine cards and gift items are available at all four M. D. Anderson gift shops, at www.childrensartproject.org or by calling 713-792-6266 to place an order or receive a free catalogue.
