Fleming and Davenport Awards
Guidelines

  1. The Lamar Fleming Trust and O. H. Davenport Fund are charitable funds established to benefit and improve the availability of the cure, treatment, hospitalization or care of persons with cancer. The funds are not to be used for the long term maintenance of a program, and no overhead will be awarded.
  2. Distribution of the awards is through Texas Medical Center. Proposals will be reviewed by an Advisory Committee of retired physicians, and gifts will be awarded in amounts up to but not exceeding $20,000.00 each.
  3. Formal notice of the availability of funds is through publication in the Texas Medical Center News. Additionally, the chief executive officer of each Texas Medical Center member institution is notified.

    Those individuals or institutions that wish to be considered for the Fleming and Davenport Awards should submit a proposal to:

  4. The deadline for submitting a 2006 proposal is 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2006.
  5. Recipients will be selected by December 6, 2004.
