AirLifeLine

AirLifeLine pilotsAirLifeLine is a national non-profit charitable organization of private pilots who donate their time, skills, aircraft and fuel to fly medical missions. Founded in 1978 by Sacramento, California businessman and pilot Tom Goodwin, the program was initially established to provide efficient transport of time-critical medical cargo. In 1984, services were expanded to include ambulatory patients requiring medical travel they could not afford.

A core of 25 interested pilots in California has now grown to over 1,100 volunteer pilots nationwide. AirLifeLine has flown more than 17,000 missions. Their pilots have surpassed 9 million flying miles at absolutely no cost to patients or referring agencies. Individual trips range from 150 to 1000 miles.

For 21 years, AirLifeLine has served as a vital link between home and hospital for thousands of patients and their families. Perhaps you, or someone you know could benefit from their service. See www.airlifeline.org to learn more.
