Texas, Her Texas: The Life and Times of Frances Goff
The Friends of the Texas Medical Center Library are hosting its annual book and author fundraiser on Friday, February 2, 2018, 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., at the TMC Library.
Dr. Nancy Beck, author and a professor of history at University of Houston, will be the guest speaker. Her book, Texas, Her Texas: The Life and Times of Frances Goff, highlights the remarkable career of Ms. Goff, who was instrumental in the establishment of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Dr. Bryant Boutwell, also a professor and historian, knew Ms. Goff and will make opening remarks at the event. There will be a sumptuous buffet dinner and a silent auction. Valet parking is included. Proceeds benefit the TMC Library.
$150 includes signed hardback book, $100 event only, $50 student pricing
Valet parking included. Use the circular drive in front of the TMC Library and the valet will park your car. You may park in the lot beneath the Library, if you prefer.
