Thursday, April 6, 2017 | 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Add to Calendar

Trish M. Perl, M.D., MSc, Chief of Infectious Diseases and the Jay P Sanford professor in the Department of Medicine, Infectious Diseases at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas will first present “The Next Pandemic and Emerging Antimicrobial-Resistant Pathogens.” Following Dr. Perl’s presentation, we will hear overviews of pressing antimicrobial resistant (AMR) issues from leaders of the clinical microbiology laboratories from each of the major medical institutions in the Texas Medical Center. This will allow attendees to hear recurrent themes as well as distinct challenges in AMR faced by TMC members. The session will conclude with a roundtable discussion regarding how the presented data can be used to prioritize anti-AMR activity across the region. Seminar will take place at 4:30 pm in Bioscience Research Collaborative (BRC) Room 1003, and a networking reception will follow.
