The Neurology Update Symposium provides an evidence-based review on recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of common neurological disorders. Topics include endovascular therapy and mobile stroke units in acute stroke, multiple sclerosis, central and obstructive sleep apnea, mild cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, epilepsy, restless leg syndrome, inflammatory myopathies and neuro-ethics. We encourage speakers to focus on clinically meaningful information and to use a case based approach.

Organized by the department of neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth, the third annual symposium will provide an evidence-based review on recent advances in the diagnosis and treatment of these common neurological disorders.

The Continuing Medical Education/Continuing Nursing Education-accredited program covers latest guidelines, clinical strategies, new approaches for diagnosis and expanded options for treatment. Other featured topics include mobile stroke units, endovascular therapy, obstructive sleep apnea, mild cognitive impairment, inflammatory myopathies and neuro-ethics.

Speakers will focus on clinically meaningful information and use a case-based approach.

“Please take this opportunity to meet and interact with our neurology faculty. The speakers will be covering a wide range of neurological topics and will provide the latest updates in clinical care for these conditions. I really look forward to welcoming you to this great event,” said Louise McCullough, professor and chair of the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and chief of neurology at Memorial Hermann Hospital-TMC.

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Self-parking is available for $10, valet for $21. Please register for the event online at
