2017 VA Quality Scholars Program Summer Institute
The Houston Coordinating Center for the national VA Quality Scholars Program (www.VAQS.org) at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center invites the TMC community to the 2017 VA Quality Scholars’ Summer Institute. The theme for this year’s conference is “Demonstrating Value and Impact” and is graciously hosted by Texas Woman’s University on Aug. 15 and Baylor College of Medicine from Aug. 16-18.
The following sessions are open to the public and will be held at Onstead auditorium (adjacent to the TMC Commons). Plenary sessions will feature the following speakers:
Troyen Brennan, MD, MPH, Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer of CVS Health on August 16th from 3-4pm and
Malaz Boustani, MD, MPH, Founding Director and Chief Innovation & Implementation Officer of The Center for Health Innovation & Implementation Science at Indiana University on August 17th from 3-4pm.
A poster presentation featuring quality improvement scholarship by VA Quality Scholars fellows and alumni as well as faculty from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine will be held August 16th from 1:30 -3:00 in the Onstead auditorium lobby.
The Department of Medicine, Vice Chair Group for Quality Improvement and Innovations at Baylor College of Medicine will host a reception following Dr. Brennan’s session on August 16th in the Onstead auditorium lobby.
