Dr. Stephen Little named one of the nation’s top cardiologists

Stephen H. Little, M.D., a cardiologist with Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center, was recently named one of the top 27 cardiologists in the United States by Forbes magazine.

“Being selected for this list is a great honor,” said Little, a West University resident. “I admire so many of the other physicians and it’s incredible to be considered as one of their peers.”

Little’s research group creates complex 3D printed hearts to better understand heart valve function and disease using multimodality imaging. The 3D hearts also give cardiologists and surgeons a more precise way to plan and perfect catheter-based repair of structural heart problems.

Little also serves as program director for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship program, medical director of the Valve Clinic and director of the Houston Methodist Valve Institute and the Cardiovascular Hemodynamics Imaging Laboratory (CHIL).
