TMCx Companies Fine-Tune Their Pitches

The Texas Medical Center Innovation Institute main space was packed Tuesday as 23 companies from the TMCx digital health accelerator gave their first formal pitches since joining the program three weeks ago.

The TMC Expert Forum connects founders with mentors, resources and expertise from across the Texas Medical Center to help make their commercial efforts a success.

Erik Halvorsen, Ph.D., director of the TMC Innovation Institute, said the fourth cohort in the accelerator program represents the most international group, with companies coming from Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.

Experts and advisors were given a preview of the work the companies did during a three-week bootcamp, and they were able to provide feedback to the founders, as well as discuss the organizations’ pain points, strategic goals and perspective on new technologies.
