Texas Medical Center (TMC) has grown to become one of the world's finest medical centers of patient care, research and education. Today, TMC faces the challenge of continued dramatic growth by many of the member institutions. This requires TMC to develop a comprehensive approach to the challenges of today and create a vision for tomorrow.

Now is the time for a bold new vision for the Texas Medical Center campus. The vision described includes a plan that establishes a clear framework to guide institutional growth, improve the physical environment, strengthen the community, anticipate 21st century technologies and identify patient care, research and education needs.

This plan is a framework for future change. It is a guide for long term growth. This plan offers design ideas, raises key development issues and resolves them in a credible way. This plan is a product of a unique collaboration among TMC's member institutions and it's neighbors.
