Directions for Driving from Airports and Freeways
The Texas Medical Center campus is conveniently located on the southwest edge of downtown Houston, close to freeways and major thoroughfares. Following are directions to our main campus from a variety of Houston locations:
- From Intercontinental Airport/Highway 59 South
Depart Intercontinental Airport onto Will Clayton Boulevard. Take Will Clayton to Highway 59 South. Travel Highway 59 South to Highway 288 (19 miles). Exit MacGregor Drive and turn right on North MacGregor Drive. The Texas Medical Center campus will be on your right after Hermann Park.
- From Hobby Airport/I-45 South
Depart Hobby Airport onto Broadway. Travel Broadway to I-45 North. Exit I-45 North onto the 610 Loop West. Follow 610 Loop West and exit Fannin Street. Turn right onto Fannin Street and the Texas Medical Center campus will be on your right, approximately 2 miles.
- From I-10 Traveling East or West
Exit Highway 59 South. Travel 59 South to Highway 288. Exit MacGregor Drive and turn right on North MacGregor Drive. The Texas Medical Center campus will be on your right after Hermann Park.
- From Highway 59 Traveling North
Travel Highway 59 North to Highway 288 Exit MacGregor Drive and turn right on North MacGregor Drive. The Texas Medical Center campus will be on your right after Hermann Park.
- From Highway 288 Traveling North
Take the MacGregor Drive exit and turn left on North MacGregor Drive. The Texas Medical Center campus will be on your right after Hermann Park.
- Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital
Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital is located 14 miles northeast of the Texas Medical Center campus at 5656 Kelley Street. To get there from the Texas Medical Center campus, head north on Highway 288, transfer to I-45 North. Take Loop 610 East and get off at the Lockwood exit. Visitor parking adjoins the hospital.
