Brew G. McKenna is Chief of Staff and SVP, Chief Development Officer of the Texas Medical Center, where she serves as a trusted advisor to the President and Chief Executive Officer. McKenna works to initiate, plan, and execute multi-institutional collaborative initiatives across the Texas Medical Center’s 57 member institutions.
Prior to her work at the Texas Medical Center, McKenna had a distinguished career in political and non-profit fundraising. McKenna’s clients included United States Senator Charles Schumer of New York, His High Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, education reformer Michelle Rhee, and numerous other candidates for federal and gubernatorial offices.
McKenna serves on the Hermann Park Conservancy Advisory Board, the Greater Houston Partnership’s Government Relations Committees, and the Houston Super Bowl Host Committee Lead Executive Committee. She is a member of the National Association of Fundraising Professionals and a benefactor of the Buffalo Bayou Buddies, the Prince’s Charities, the Our Lady of Good Counsel Alumni Association, and the Global Delaware Foundation.
McKenna graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a minor in Technical and Scientific Communication.
McKenna and her husband, Matthew L. Guyton, split their time between Houston, Texas and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
