John P. McGovern Texas Medical Center Commons
The John P. McGovern Texas Medical Center Commons building provides a centrally located facility where students, visitors, employees and volunteers can meet, eat, shop and park under one roof. Over 500 convenient visitor parking spaces located on Levels B1 & B2 and Levels 2-5, allow easy access to the many facilities within the Commons building and to the nearby member institutions. Located in the heart of the Texas Medical Center at the intersection of Bertner Avenue and Moursund Street, the 288,000 square-foot building is within walking distance from most Texas Medical Center institutions, including Baylor College of Medicine, The University of Texas Medical School and Dental Branch, The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research, Texas Heart Institute, and Methodist, St. Luke's, Memorial Hermann, and Texas Children's Hospitals. Amenities include a variety of eateries, a bank and an upscale Italian restaurant named Trevísio.
