Houston-based startup Allotrope Medical provides precise ureter identification during minimally invasive surgery, removing the need for ureteral stent placement, and may identify the ureter to prevent injuries before they occur.
Allotrope’s intuitive handheld device assists surgeons in quickly and easily identifying the ureters during a procedure. It is disposable and doesn’t involve preoperative procedures.
“As our technology was invented and developed right here in the Texas Medical Center, we are both excited and honored to part of TMCx. We at Allotrope want to contribute to the rapidly growing medtech community here in Houston, all while working with the world-class medical experts here to advance healthcare innovation.”
