Jessica Roberts

Jessica L. Roberts, J.D.,  is the director of the Health Law & Policy Institute and a George Butler Research Professor at the University of Houston Law Center, where she specializes in health law, disability law, and genetics and the law.  She regularly publishes her work in legal, medical, and interdisciplinary journals.  Professor Roberts was named a 2018 Greenwall Faculty Scholar in Bioethics and a Health Policy Scholar with the Center for Medical Ethics & Health Policy at the Baylor College of Medicine.  From 2014-2015, she was a consultant with the Football Players Health Study at Harvard.  She holds a B.A. from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from the Yale Law School.  Before coming home to Houston in 2010, she spent two years as a fellow at Columbia Law School.
