Belk joined The Methodist Hospital System working as governance counsel for Methodist’s entities. Completing her J.D. in 1985, she went on to serve as general counsel for MacGregor Medical Association and Kelsey Seybold Clinic. She also worked in the insurance industry, developing professional liability insurance products for hospitals while lecturing for the Certified Insurance Counselors Program.
